DRAW!

A nationwide drawing project supported by David Hockney.

About DRAW!Artists and themesShare your drawing

David Hockney has drawn the world around him for 60 years – and the Bradford-born artist is now supporting DRAW!, a nationwide drawing project for Bradford 2025.

Each month in 2025, a different artist is inviting us all to create a drawing inspired by a particular theme. In January, David Hockney started our year of drawing with his chosen theme ‘draw something you find beautiful’.

Discover the DRAW! artists and themes below and look back on some of the amazing drawings you’ve sent to us so far.

You can share your masterpiece with the world at bradford2025.co.uk/mydrawing or on socials (#Bradford2025 or by tagging @bradford_2025) for your chance to see your images displayed on our website each month and in an exhibition at the close of the year.

The world is very very beautiful if you look at it, but most people don't look very much. Looking at the world is good for you.

Share your drawing

Inspired by David Hockney, we’re encouraging everyone to pick up a pencil, a pen, an iPad, a piece of chalk, or whatever you choose to draw with, and create your own drawings.

Don’t forget to take a photo of your drawing and share it with us at bradford2025.co.uk/mydrawing or on social media using the hashtag #Bradford2025, or tag @bradford_2025.
